                  To Shed Antler Crazy

   We are very happy to bring you this great site. It has been in the works for awhile now. If you are crazy about shed antlers as much as we am you've come to the right place. This  site is for the beginner and seasoned shed hunter alike. We as shed hunters always try to better ourselves than we did the year before. If we can stay awhile longer in the field we will. We just have to walk that next ridge, go through that other gully, walk another field or go through that other bush. We always wonder and hope what just might be over there waiting to be found.

   I've been a shed hunter for over 30yrs now. I've found sheds in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan Canada. I've lived in Canada my whole life. I live in Saskatchewan now. I have the privelage to be in one of the greatest places for big sheds.

   Finding sheds for me was a hobby at first when I was younger. Then all hell broke loose. I just couldn't wait to get out to find sheds. Winter was way to long  for me. As soon as the Deer and Moose were dropping I was  out there. Then the Elk start dropping. Before I knew it I was never home. I'd take 3 months off work so I could shed hunt. I'm Still this way to this day. People think I'm crazy but hey,I'm doing what I love. I find about 200 or more sheds per year. I find Deer, Moose and Elk sheds.

  I'm out everyday that the weather is good. I've found many crazy looking antlers over the years. I find a few like that each year. That is what shed hunting is all about. That is what you always want to find. Wild looking antlers aren't everywhere though. I'd say for me I'd find a neat looking one for every 100 normal looking ones. I'd have to say that I think I have one of the best collections of shed antlers around. The thing is that most collectors buy their big sheds. Well, all mine I have found myself. I don't buy any. I think when someone can find 90 to 100 inch antlers every year they are doing lots of winter scouting and doing their homework on the animals. The big sheds are the reward for your extra time put in.

   I've taken my kids with me out looking for sheds ever since they were very small. It's so  great when they find antlers. Seeing their smiles make everything worth while. We always make a day of it with a picnic lunch. Always BBQ burgers. I think the best part of it all is that when I'm out with the family enjoying a great outdoor adventure.
